Comme il faut's pedigree is a collection of top-class horses. Sire Cornet Obolensky, Clinton, Corrado, Heartbreaker, Nimmerdor, Randel Z or Ramiro were not only great sires, but have also proven their quality and willingness to perform in international show jumping. The mares are particularly impressive in Comme il faut's pedigree. Rabanna and Holivea placed in several competitions. Ratina Z and Heurika Z were perhaps the best sports students in the world at the time.
After the Vice World Championship for six-year-old show jumpers and as Vice Federal Champion, Comme il faut is now thrilling the experts under the saddle of Marcus Ehning with placements and victories in Grand Prix. The lightness and joy that the stallion radiates on the course is unique.
The highlight of 2019 for Comme il faut was the European Championships in Rotterdam. Comme il faut and Marcus Ehning were able to complete it as Vice European Champion in the team and fifth in the individual ranking.
He was able to convince with clear rounds in Nations Cups, victories in Grand Prixs and numerous top placings in the Global Champions Tour and in the World Cup.
His children, who are predominantly influenced by their father, continue this tradition in an impressive way.
With a breeding value of 145 and a reliability of 92% in young horse jumping tests, he is already among the TOP 1% of show jumping horse sires. Numerous offspring who have arrived in the big and international class impressively underline his breeding achievements.
 
Comme il faut is tested for Warmblood Fragile Foal Syndrome - WFFS. The test result is negative.
It therefore does not carry the original mutation for the WFFS in the LH1 gene

His most successful son Clooney won the Silver Medal at the World Championships in Tryon/USA in 2019 and the Gold Medal at the European Championships in Rotterdam/NED with Martin Fuchs/SUI . In 2019, 245 of his offspring in Germany have achieved wins and placings in advanced (140cm) level competitions, generating annual total earnings of 1245707 euros. Cornet Obolensky himself won the gold medal with the German team at the European Championships in Madrid/ESP in 2011 after showing outstanding rounds. In 2012, he won the World Cup competition in Zürich/SUI and the Nations Cups in Rom/ITA and Rotterdam/NL and he was awarded as the most successful show jumper in Germany. With Marco Kutscher, he won Grand Prix and Nations Cup competitions such as the Samsung Super League final in Barcelona that he won twice and the Grand Prix competitions in Balve/GER and Cervia/ITA; he was also a member of the German Olympic team in Hong Kong. In 2009, he became second in the World Cup competition in Bordeaux/FRA, finished third in the Grand Prix competition in Rio de Janeiro/BRA and was placed in the Global Champions Tour Final in Doha. Cornet Obolensky’s lifetime earnings currently amount to 799.952 euros.

Cornet Obolensky has come to dominate the scene in breeding and competition like no other stallion. His most successful son „Cornet d’amour“ became Vice European Champion in 2013. Among his offspring are several title bearers such as winners of the “Bundeschampionat” (championship for young horses of all German breeds), world champions and international GP winners. In 2013, 194 of his offspring have achieved wins and placements in advanced (S) level competitions, generating annual total earnings of 857.543 euros, raising his offspring’s lifetime earnings to 1.783.462 euros, what makes him a prize money millionaire. In the current breeding index, Cornet Obolensky has a breeding value of 165 points with a 96% precision rate. In 2012, the BWP awarded him with the title „Ambassador“.
